The Princess and the Winter Dragon
One of Rust & Stardust's Touring Projects, The Princess and the Winter Dragon is a non-denominational show for winter-time.
A tale to enthrall, full of song and snowfall...
A musical comedy lasting 45 minutes, the play is designed for indoor, theatrical settings with solid floors and a capacity for indoor fireworks. It features two actor-puppeteers from Rust & Stardust and requires a backstage technician.
A charming rhyming tale of adventure and unlikely friendship from Rust & Stardust, featuring songs, stunning costumes, and a magical, snow-breathing dragon puppet.

Wintertide is approaching in the Kingdom of Yule, but the weather is warm and balmy with not a single sign of snow!

The villagers fear the annual Festival of Ice will be ruined and blame a rumbly dragon in the mountains.

King Krimbo is worried that soon people will be after his crown, while dreamy Prince Bonbon from the neighbouring kingdom is only interested in wrapping presents, baking cakes, and cutting ribbons to very precise lengths.
To save the day, Princess Noelle is given a quest: journey to the dragon's lair and bring back a blizzard, no ifs, no buts, no roast chestnuts!
Meet the Puppets
We have a range of specific workshops which accompany and connect with our touring shows.
These are the perfect follow up or accompaniment and encourage participants to reflect on what they have seen and use it as a starting point for their own creative work.
One of these is "Meet The Puppets" - an opportunity to meet our family of puppets and take photos in a fun and gentle introduction.
Participants can discover how our puppets are made, the materials used to create them and the processes involved, and ask their own questions.
